Why do I have to enter a one-time code?
The code confirms that the mobile number on the form is yours — no password or account is needed to book. If an account already exists for that mobile number, the booking is attached to it only after the code is verified.
Which payment methods does the booking form accept?
UPI (scan a QR or pay to our UPI id). The consultation fee is shown before you pay it. Our staff verify the payment during clinic hours, 8 am to 10 pm, Monday to Saturday (closed on Sunday), and the appointment is confirmed once that is done. Medicine is paid for separately — you talk to the doctor before paying for any medicine.
How long is my appointment held while I pay?
A booking for a day is held for 24 hours from the moment you book. A booking for a time slot is held until shortly before the slot — normally 60 minutes before it — or for 24 hours, whichever comes first. If the payment has not been received by then, the booking is released and the time becomes available to others.
When is my appointment confirmed?
Once our staff have verified the payment — during clinic hours, 8 am to 10 pm, Monday to Saturday (closed on Sunday) — a confirmation is sent to the e-mail address and the WhatsApp number you gave. Until then the booking shows as awaiting confirmation in your patient account on this site (after signing in) as well.
Is the consultation by video, audio or in person?
You choose the mode on the form: a video or audio call, or a walk-in visit at the Kolkata clinic. The consultation is one-to-one with the doctor in every case.
Why do I see time slots for some doctors and only a date for others?
A doctor with a published clinic schedule offers real time slots, computed live in the clinic's own time zone and starting at least 60 minutes from now; a doctor without one is booked for a day, and the time is agreed afterwards. One doctor is never booked twice for the same slot.
Can I change the date or cancel after booking?
Yes — from your patient account on this site (after signing in) you can cancel the booking or request a new date, which the clinic confirms. A consultation cancelled before it has taken place is refunded within 1-2 working days; once it has been completed the fee is not refundable. Is medicine included in the consultation fee?
No — the fee covers the consultation only. If the doctor prescribes medicine it is quoted separately, and you decide after speaking to the doctor; orders are dispatched within 0-7 days of payment, in plain, unmarked packaging. The shipping terms at https://www.erecto.in/shipping-policy apply to every order.
What happens to the details I enter on the booking form?
They are used to run your consultation and to contact you about it, as the privacy policy (version 2026-08-26) at https://www.erecto.in/privacy-policy sets out; your consent to the terms and the privacy notice is recorded with the booking. From the privacy centre in your patient account (after signing in) you can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time.
